Delete your Shiftelio account

Delete it yourself, in the app

1. Sign in to the Shiftelio app or website.
2. Open Settings and tap Delete my account.
3. Confirm it is you, then type DELETE. Your account is deleted 30 days later; until then you can sign in and cancel.

A business owner who is the only owner closes the business with the account; if the business has other owners, hand it to one of them first in the same screen.

Or ask us by email

1. Email support@shiftelio.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
2. Write the mobile number or email you sign in with, and the name of the business you work for or own.
3. Send it from that email address if you can. If you have no email, write from any address and we will check it is you on WhatsApp or by phone before deleting anything.

We reply to confirm we have it, and finish the deletion within 30 days of confirming it is you.

What is deleted

• Your sign-in: your password, mobile number and email login. You can no longer sign in to the Shiftelio app or website.
• Your profile photo, documents you uploaded, and your saved devices and notification settings.
• Location history recorded while you were clocked in.
• If you own a business and close it, its staff list, workplaces and settings, after you have downloaded anything you need.

What is kept, and why

Indian labour and tax law requires an employer to keep wage, attendance and payment records for a set number of years. Where you were paid through Shiftelio, those records (days worked, wages, advances and payments) stay with the employer with your contact details, photos and locations removed. Your name and your PAN, PF, UAN and ESI numbers stay on them, because the wage register needs them. Invoices for a business's Shiftelio subscription are kept for the period tax law requires.

If you are staff: your employer controls your work records. We tell them about your request; you can also ask them directly.

Only some of your data?

You can ask us to delete just part of your data, for example your location history or your photo, without closing the account. Email us in the same way and say what you would like removed.
