- Haryana's minimum wage from 1 April 2026 is ₹15,220.71 a month for unskilled work, ₹19,425.85 for highly skilled.
- One flat set of basic rates for the whole state, with no zones.
- The reset raised the unskilled rate by about 35 per cent on the July 2025 figure.
Haryana reset its minimum wages from 1 April 2026, and the new floor is much higher than the old one. An unskilled worker must now be paid at least ₹15,220.71 a month, or ₹585.41 a day, anywhere in the state: Gurugram, Faridabad, Panipat or a village in Mahendragarh.
The notification was issued on 9 April 2026 and backdated to 1 April. As of 5 October 2026 nothing newer had been published. This article gives the four rates, shows how large the jump was, and covers the details that catch employers out: trainees, the daily rate and what happens next.
Haryana minimum wages from 1 April 2026
| Class of worker | Per month | Per day |
|---|---|---|
| Unskilled | ₹15,220.71 | ₹585.41 |
| Semi-skilled | ₹16,780.74 | ₹645.41 |
| Skilled | ₹18,500.81 | ₹711.56 |
| Highly skilled | ₹19,425.85 | ₹747.14 |
These come from Notification No. 2/25/26-2 Lab, dated 9 April 2026. They are one flat set of rates for every scheduled employment, with no zones. They are reported as basic rates, with dearness allowance linked to the consumer price index to come on top as prices move.
The published daily rate is the monthly rate divided by 26, rounded down to the paisa: ₹15,220.71 ÷ 26 = ₹585.41.

How big the jump was
Before the reset, Haryana ran on an old basic rate with a dearness allowance revised twice a year. The rates for the period from 1 July 2025, as reported by Ascent HR, were ₹11,274.60 a month for unskilled work and ₹14,389.52 for highly skilled.
| Class of worker | From 1 July 2025 | From 1 April 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unskilled | ₹11,274.60 | ₹15,220.71 | about +35% |
| Highly skilled | ₹14,389.52 | ₹19,425.85 | about +35% |
For an unskilled worker that is ₹3,946 a month more. This compares with the latest earlier rates we found; if a further order for January 2026 existed, the jump from it would be smaller, but we did not find one. The old scheme also split semi-skilled and skilled workers into A and B grades; the April 2026 notification has four classes only, so check which class each of your people now falls into rather than carrying the old grade across.

Details that catch employers out
- It was backdated. The notification is dated 9 April and took effect on 1 April 2026, so the first days of April were owed at the new rate too.
- Trainees are paid 75 per cent of the rate for their class, as reported by TeamLease and SGCMS.
- Dearness allowance comes on top. The April figures are basic rates; when the dearness allowance is next notified, it is added to them.
- Gurugram is not different. Haryana has no zones, so a Gurugram office and a Hisar shop share the same minimum.
What comes next
The April 2026 notification ties future changes to the consumer price index. Published sources disagree about the dates on which those changes will be made, and we have not seen the notification's own wording on it, so we do not give a date here. Watch the Haryana Labour Department's notifications, and expect any new order to be backdated to the start of its period, as this one was.
For other states, see the state minimum wages table, and for how a backdated order lands on a closed month, why 1 October is probably not your date.
Where Shiftelio fits
Shiftelio does not look up or update Haryana's minimum wage. You set each employee's pay, a monthly salary, a rate per day or per shift, or an hourly rate, and the pay run works from the days and hours attendance shows. When a reset like April's lands, you change the rate on the affected staff once and every later pay run uses it.
