- The weekly overtime limit is pre-filled for your province from your work site's address, and you can change it. Ontario, Alberta, New Brunswick and PEI 44 h; Nova Scotia 48 h (44 from 1 April 2027); the others 40 h. Federally regulated? Pick it in settings.
- Pay periods every two weeks by default
- Holidays: the 10 federal statutory holidays are suggested. They apply to federally regulated work; your province's list differs, so add or swap days. Working a holiday is set to 1.5x pay by default; change it to match your province.
- Staff can switch the app to Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Chinese, Vietnamese, Haitian Creole or Tagalog

Is overtime calculated for me?
Yes, after the weekly limit for your province, pre-filled from your site's address. You can change it. Daily overtime follows each person's scheduled day length. Overtime pays at the rate you set once, such as 1.5x.
Am I billed in dollars?
Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and billed yearly in CAD. No Indian GST is added.
Do my staff need WhatsApp?
Staff do not need WhatsApp: you can invite them by email or a link. You, the owner, confirm your number with a WhatsApp code when you sign up.
Does it work offline?
Check-in does: clock-ins are saved on the phone and sent when it is online. The rest of the app needs internet.
Is the app in French?
Yes. Staff can pick French in the app. Shiftelio is still built for teams outside Quebec.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 45 days of the Growth plan, up to 25 staff. No card needed. Pick a plan at the end to keep access; nothing is charged automatically.
Do WhatsApp alerts cost extra?
Yes, for WhatsApp only. Owner alerts on WhatsApp are paid per message from a prepaid balance. Telegram and app alerts are free.
